According to local media, at least two terrorists have died in a firing incident at the Pakistan Stock Exchange located on main I.I. Chundrigar in Karachi.

Reports suggest the terrorist attack was carried out by four terrorists. A large contingent of police and Rangers have reached the site of the incident and all terrorists have been killed.
According to the eyewitness, four terrorists arrived at the exchange’s compound in a sedan and attempted to enter it from the parking ground side. They were seen shouldering backpacks and carrying automatic weaponry.
After failing to enter the compound, the militants launched a gun and grenade attack and attempted to storm the building while opening indiscriminate fire. They were engaged by security personnel posted at the PSX and could not make headway amidst the heavy exchange of fire.
Reports also suggest that at least three people have been injured. The injured are being taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
People inside the PSX building were evacuated from the backdoor. A police officer and the security guard outside the PSX building were among those wounded in the firing. The PSX building and surrounding areas were sealed by law enforcement agencies.
“An unfortunate incident took place at the Pakistan Stock Exchange,” said Abid Ali Habib, Director Pakistan Stock Exchange. “They made their way from our parking area and opened fire on everyone.”
Pakistan Stock Exchange said in a statement that its compound had been attacked by militants and that the “situation is still unfolding”.
PSX tweeted, “There was an attack on the PSX compound earlier today. The situation is still unfolding and management, with the help of security forces, is managing the security and controlling the situation.”
