If you’re in the market for a new outdoor television, now is the time to be looking. Samsung just announced their new “The Terrace” line of TVs that come in 3 sizes, 55, 65 and 75-inches and the prices are not for the faint of heart.
The Terrace has initially launched in the U.S. and Canada and will come to Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and other regions later this year. The TV is priced between $5000-$9000.
The Terrace has an IP55 weather rating which is going to protect it from heat, humidity and dust. So if you get splashes on this ora bit of rain, it’ll typically be okay. The temperature range that it can operate is pretty diverse, which can go down to -20, and all the way up to 50-degree Celcius.
The technology in the panel itself what you would find in a lot of TVs in home theatres. It’s a 4K QLED TV with a 120Hz refresh rate, and with HDR built-in. The brightness is great for outdoor as well with 2,000 nits, and it has an anti-reflection coating on the screen.
It features three HDMI ports, a LAN port, a Toslink optical audio output, and a USB port. Meanwhile, Samsung has also introduced the Terrace Soundbar.
