After it made headlines for raising USD 15.2 Billion from various ventures, is now making another headline by launching Jiomeet to counter Zoom.
Like Zoom and Google Meet, JioMeet offers an unlimited number of free calls in HD(720p) to users and supports as many as 100 participants on a call. Unlike the Zoom’s 40 mins limit, Jiomeet offers a non-stop up to 24 hours long uninterrupted calls.
The service currently has no paid plans and it’s unclear if Jio Platforms, which has a reputation of giving away services for free for years, plans to change that.
Jio Platforms with about 400 million customers and a very competitive pricing model will definitely take good advantages for its new platform Jiomeet.
After, India’s Aatm nirbhar Bharat campaign, many Indian apps got a boost. But uncanny that many of them including Jiomeet heavily copies from their counterpart apps.
