KL Rahul breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s IPL record

Dubai: KXIP vs RCB: Match 6 of the Indian premier league 2020, was the day of records for KL Rahul. The magnificent cricketer, taking the responsibility of the team after a loss in their first game, played a marvellous inning of 132 runs off 69 balls against RCB, the young lad reached this target with 14 fours and 7 sixes. He completed his century in just 62 balls. 

Punjab’s skipper registered his second IPL century on Thursday against RCB, with this he became the first one to hit a century in this 13th season of Dream-11 IPL.

The Star batsman became the fastest Indian to score 2,000 IPL runs in just 60 innings. Before Rahul, this title was with the legend Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved this in 63 innings. 

Talking about the overseas players, the record stands with the superstar cricketer, Chris Gayle. The great Gayle tops the board as he completed his 2,000 runs in just 48 innings.

Another remarkable history that Rahul made in Dubai was with his fabulous innings of 132 runs, he reported the highest IPL score by any Indian batsman in an innings.

This massive innings by the skipper led KXIP to a giant total of 206/3 in 20 overs and the results came in their favour as RCB lost the game by 97 runs. The KXIP captain helped the team to record their first victory in the season against the Bangalore squad. 

KL Rahul’s brilliant form is good news for Indian cricket as well. As after the IPL, India is scheduled to travel to Australia for three ODIs and four test matches starting in December, followed by three T-20 games in January. Fans will expect a great performance from Rahul and other players in the India tour of Australia.
