AirAsia is a money making racket: Gaurav Taneja of Flying Beast

Whistleblower pilot Gaurav Taneja who runs a YouTube channel Flying Beast has accused AirAsia as a money-making racket. After #BoycottAirAsia, now #SabKeLiye is trending on Twitter.

Taneja was suspended by AirAsia after his revelation of how the company is betting on passenger safety to save fuels and cost in one of his videos.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating AirAsia India after Gaurav Taneja pointed out alleged violations of safety norms by the low-cost airliner.

The video on the Flying Beast channel has over 4.7 million views and over 73,000 comments, mostly appreciating the pilot for his move.

Who is Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast?

Gaurav Taneja, an IIT Kharagpur alumni, is a very popular name in the YouTuber community. His channel Flying Beast has nearly 3 million subscribers and his videos have been seen over 65 Crore times.

Taneja who joined AirAsia in May last year has been a commercial pilot for almost a decade. He worked with Indigo for almost 8 years before joining AirAsia. He is also very popular among the fitness community and runs a second YouTube channel FitMuscle TV.

Ritu Rathee, wife of Gaurav Taneja is also a commercial pilot working with Indigo.
