Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an interactive session, the “Fit India Dialogue” with the latest fitness icons on Thursday. The session aimed to boost the fitness and health standards in the nation. The leader interacted with icons including cricket captain Virat Kohli, actor-model Milind Soman, and nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar.
During the dialogue the PM jokingly asked former supermodel Milin Soman if he lies about his age or if he’s actually 55 years old. “Whatever you say your age is – are you really that old or is it something else?” the Pm had asked.
In response, Milind answered in affirmative and said his mother is his role model for fitness. “Many ask me, are you 55? They wonder how I can run 500 KM at this age. I tell them my mother is 81. I want to be like her when I reach that age. My mother is an inspiration for me and many others,” soman said laughing.
The prime minister also received the opposition’s criticism on the same. Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi question Modi about his priories when nationwide protests are being carried out by farmers.
“Priorities of Modi government – instead of talking to farmers and laborers to solve their problems, they (the Modi government) are engaged in PR,” he said in a tweet posted in Hindi.
