Move over Money Heist, a 19-year old in Tamil Nadu created a duplicate bank after not getting his bank job on time

In a shocking incident, Panruti police in Tamilnadu arrested 4 people including the mastermind Kamal Babu, a 19 years guy for running a duplicate SBI bank in the city.

They have opened the bank in APR this year during the lockdown with a proper setup of a bank including proper interiors, computers, and lockers.

Kamal babu, son of a former SBI employee is well aware of the bank functionings as he used to go to the bank with his father since his childhood. After his father died, he ran after the officials to get his job but got frustrated after not getting it and thought to open the bank with three others.

They got exposed and the bank has been sealed now after an SBI customer complained to the customer care about the newly-opened branch in North Bazaar with the manager of an existing branch in the town.

“Till date, we haven’t received any complaints from customers that they have lost money in this branch. When we enquired, Babu said he never intended to cheat people but wanted to open a bank for himself. However, there has been a lot of transactions between his mother’s account and his aunt’s account. A probe is underway.” Said the official
