CBSE reduces the syllabus by 30 percent for 2020-21

In an official statement today, NCERT states that it is working with CBSE to trim the syllabus of class 9th to 12th up to 30 percent. NCERT is taking this step due to the academic loss due to COVID-19.

Instead of trimming the whole chapters, it has suggested removing the repeated contents from the syllabus.

ICSE as well plans to reduce the syllabus by 25 percent for the next academic year due to the “significant shortening of the academic year and loss of the instructional hours” in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
