After Trump, Coronavirus taking over the republican party

President Donald Trump’s campaign manager Bill Stepien has recently tested positive for COVID19. Apart from Stepien various other figures from Trump’s close circle have also been tested positive for the virus.

President Donald Trump has allegedly downplayed the threat of the virus for several months now. He has currently been admitted to the military hospital where he is being given an experimental drug combination. Trump was recently seen mocking his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden for “wearing a mask for everything”. He has reportedly canceled all campaigns for the upcoming US presidential elections.

After Trump’s announcement declaring that he had tested positive for the virus, at least seven members from his inner circle have been tested positive. Additionally, his wife and America’s first lady Melania has also tested positive for the virus.

Two Republican senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee have also tested positive for Covid-19. Further, Mike Lee of Utah and Thom Tillis of North Carolina have also announced a positive coronavirus result.

The developments have come after a White House event wherein President Donald Trump had nominated Barrett. The event was attended by various republican leaders while COVID-19 prevention protocols were breached. No social distancing was followed and many people were seen not wearing a mask.
