43 Chinese soldiers died in Galwan valley: ANI

According to news agency ANI, a source has confirmed that 43 Chinese soldiers have died in the India-China face-off in the Galway Valley along the LaC.

However, in a statement, the Indian army has confirmed news agency ANI that 17 Indian troops who were critically injured in the line of duty at the standoff location and exposed to sub-zero temperatures in the high altitude terrain have succumbed to their injuries, taking the total that were killed in action to 20.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said that both sides suffered casualties in the violent face-off and the Chinese side departed from the consensus to respect the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galwan Valley.
