Three day vedic rituals carried out by various esteemed priests started on Monday. Tuesday marks the second day of the rituals and will be followed by PM Modi’s bhoomi poojan on wednesday at 12:15 P.M.
Today’s rituals started at 9 AM. Anil Mishra, member of Sri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra trust said, ” “Lord Hanuman is considered to be the protector of Ayodhya. So, before construction of Ram Mandir begins, we are performing this puja at Hanuman Garhi to seek his (Lord Hanuman) permission to start construction work of Ram Mandir,”
In the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic, the list of dignitaries invited for the event has been limited. Some of the well-known names on the guest list include PM Modi, Yogi Adityanath, and RSS Chief- mohan Mohan Bhagwat.
The invitation bears the image of infant ram and was issued in the name of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das.
The first invitation card for the “Bhoomi Pujan” of Ram temple in Ayodhya was received by Iqbal Ansari, who was one of the litigants in Ayodhya land dispute case.
“I believe it was Lord Ram’s wish that I receive the first invitation. I accept it. Hindus and Muslims live in harmony in Ayodhya. The temple’s land is being worshipped and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming for the event to Ayodhya,” Ansari told ANI.
The city is heavily loaded with security personnel while the district borders have been sealed.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath visited the site on monday and told the sources “It is not only a historic but also an emotional moment as after 500 years the Ram temple work will start. It will be the foundation of a new India,” Adityanath told reporters.
